White LED Lighting PowerWhite and Warm White LED lighting power

These two pictures show how a very small amount of electrical lighting power can go a long way. In the picture, left, the subject is lit using 3watts of white (5500k temp.) compared with the same subject lit using 6watts of warm white (3200 temp.) Luxeon I LEDs. Excellent exterior lighting results can be achieved using White Luxeon LEDs especially with their low power, long life and low heat characteristics.

Now more light from Luxeon I.Luxeon 1

SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA (April 12, 2005) --- Luxeon I light output performance was dramatically increased today for all InGaN colors (white, blue, cyan, green and royal blue). Typical performance of Luxeon I white emitters improved from 31 lumens to 45 lumens. Other colors have similar increases, all without increasing the package or chip size. No other comparable high power LED offers more light than Luxeon I. Increased performance can be attributed to Lumileds continued technology leadership in epitaxial, packaging and 5 years experience manufacturing high power LEDs.
